Collaborate with Evernote
I use Evernote, as I’m sure many of you do as well. It's a great piece of software, it's on all my mobile devices and it's my go-to app for collecting data, BTW – there are so many ways to collect information with this app – it's an embarrassment of riches. Oh, and once you have all that data in Evernote, you will need a compelling way to find that note from three weeks ago, enter the crazy good search function.
In the last couple of weeks, I noticed the iPhone app got an update and one of the new features that they pushed out was the Work Chat. Work Chat, is a feature that allows Evernote users to chat about items they are working on directly in the Evernote client (this is pretty cool), whats also cool about it is, you can collaborate on notebooks and notes with the app.
Once you are connected with the other person within the app, you can pass along documents, and they can be edited in real time. I did a test with Eric Wright and connected with him over the chat, sent him a doc to review and modify and when he was done, I was informed the document was updated. The other cool thing is you can collaborate with as many people as you like, consider it to be a virtual meeting.
As well, Evernote recently held their 2014 EC4 Conference, and if you interested to see what's happening with Evernote – check out the videos here on YouTube.
During the Keynote, Phil Libin gave a demo of work chat – If you want to speed up to the demo, it starts at 1:05:00
