Get Started with Networking with the Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor

It’s a short one today as I think the videos in this post can do most of the explaining. A colleague of mine, Jason Burns who is a Senior Solutions & Performance Engineer at Nutanix, has put together a couple of quick videos on Networking with the Acropolis Hypervisor.

The Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) uses the open-source Open vSwitch (OVS) to connect the Controller VM, the hypervisor, and guest VMs to each other and the physical network. The OVS service runs on each AHV node, and the OVS services start automatically.

The videos are well done, and it’s an excellent introduction for a sysadmin to different terms and concepts about networking. Also, if you are interested in learning more, download the Acropolis Hypervisor Best Practice Guide – it’s a great place to start.

Let me know what you thought’s are on these videos, add your comments below and thanks for reading and of course watching
