Gordon Moore, Technology Icon and Intel Co-founder, Dies at 94

I love reading about Silicon Valley history and the impact those folks have made on the world. Gordon Moore passed away today, and if you are unaware of who he is, I encourage you to do some research, I think you may be surprised. His work truly changed how we all live and work today.

Fortune magazine:

A founder of industry pioneer Fairchild Semiconductor, Moore in 1968 co-founded Intel, which grew into the world’s largest semiconductor maker at one point. The Santa Clara, California-based company supplies about 80% of the world’s personal computers with their most important part, the microprocessor. Moore was chief executive officer from 1975 to 1987.

Startup founders can learn so much from pioneers like Gordon Moore, especially how humble he was.
