HPE's Mega Move: $13B Deal for Juniper Networks

HPE buying Juniper Networks caught me by surprise.

I know HPE has Aruba branded networking equipment so how would the new Juniper products fit into the portfolio? Will we see the Aruba disappear?

The deal, reportedly worth $13 billion, could be announced as early as this week, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The buyout is apparently intended to position the almost 100-year-old HPE better in the rapidly growing artificial intelligence industry.

From a lot of the content I am reading, AI is playing a part in this decision. Juniper's AI offering is called Mist AI and that might be the what they incorporate into the Aruba equipment and across the entire technology stack. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
