Ready for Download vSphere 7 Update 2
Today, VMware has released vSphere 7 Update 2. Since moving to a six-month release cycle, VMware has been on target with the releases. The key focus areas for this release are: Deliver AI & Developer Ready Infrastructure, Boost Infrastructure and Data Security and Simplify Operations.

We are excited to share that today VMware has released vSphere 7 Update 2. It is available to download right away, both through VMware Customer Connect and from within vSphere Lifecycle Manager itself.
With vSphere 7, released in April 2020, we moved vSphere to a six-month release cycle. We released vSphere 7 Update 1 in October 2020, and vSphere 7 Update 2 today. With this faster pace, you get the benefits of the latest capabilities and innovation from VMware as well as from the VMware partner and OEM ecosystem much more quickly, to meet your business needs and be future-ready.
I am always curious as to how many folks are leveraging AI in their environment and using VMware and NVIDIA to power that experience. I am keen on knowing if you are using a separate vSphere cluster for these activities or running this in your standard environment. Nice to see that this release supports for the latest generation of GPUs from NVIDIA, Ampere family of processors.
I am also keen on always making things simpler for myself and the team I work with. I am interested in how vMotion auto-scaling will perform. This feature will automatically tune vMotion for the best performance on high-speed networks.
