Deeper insights into threats and security compliance through Red Hat Insights and more data visualizations. I’ve been looking forward to this release and can’t wait to try it out.

Red Hat made the announcement on their blog.

Today, we’re pleased to announce the beta availability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.4, the latest version of the world’s leading enterprise Linux platform. Engineered to help deliver enterprise-ready innovation and drive digital transformation from the datacenter to the edge and beyond, RHEL 8.4 Beta adds new capabilities and enhances existing features to further refine RHEL as a consistent foundation for the open hybrid cloud.

This time I plan on using the Convert2RHEL utility to convert my CentOS Linux 8 to RHEL 8 and to get a sense of what the experience is like. I know Convert2RHEL does not support many of the older versions but it seems like a useful tool.

Is this release of RHEL something you are looking forward to? What version are you currently running? Let me know if you plan on trying RHEL 8.4 on Twitter and thanks for reading.
