What You Should Know About Fedora Linux 34 Beta

I have to tell you, I just love testing out new Linux beta’s. I think it has something to do with being on the bleeding edge of technology and sharing what I’ve learned with the beta team and the broader community. I am also constantly switching out my daily Linux distro with new beta’s. I don’t think I am any different from others in the community, I see you smiling. So, I was excited to see Fedora Linux 34 Beta available.

Matthew Miller writes in Fedora Magazine

The Fedora Project is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Fedora Linux 34 Beta, the next step towards our planned Fedora Linux 34 release at the end of April.

I know this has been a release folks are keen on getting. The Fedora team is looking for beta testers, so this is a nice way to help out if you have the time. So, I would encourage you to get involved. Besides the Workstation beta, there is also a server and IoT beta version available.

One thing I am looking forward to is GNOME 40 which this beta includes. It’s the newest release of the GNOME desktop environment. This should give Fedora a slightly new look and feel in some cases.

Have you been using Fedora? What are you excited about seeing in this release? Thanks for reading.
